(Trigger warning: bullying, suicide, rape)

I’m just here to remind you good people that lots of people, many of whom are not pretty white girls, commit suicide daily due to bullying.  Many people are bullied to the point of suicide because they don’t conform to today’s warped standards of beauty.  Many people are bullied because they don’t give a flying fuck about the latest music or that they’re not sports nuts.  They’re bullied because of who they support in the latest election.  There are TONS of reasons for bullying and it’s because of these reasons that a lot of these people commit suicide.

My contempt lies with the people who suddenly give a flying fuck about bullying because a pretty white girl killed herself because of it, as if pretty white girls are treasured global resources that we have to protect.

If you’re going to fight against bullying, fight for EVERYONE who gets bullied.  Fight for the girl who gets bullied because she’s overweight.  Fight for the guy who gets bullied because there’s rumors, whether true or not, that he’s gay.  Fight for the person who was born as one gender but identifies with the other, or identifies as neither, both, whichever they damn well feel, but they get bullied for it.  Fight for the people that support one political party but is constantly heckled by people who support the other party.  Fight for the people with embarrassingly large overbites, with huge noses, with large, wide ears, for people who have one eye going one way and the other eye going another way.  Fight for people who are STILL getting bullied because they have different color skin, who have “funny accents.”  Fight for people that are bullied because they believe in God, for those that are bullied because they DON’T believe in God, and fight for those that are bullied because they believe in a different god altogether.  Fight for the people that are raped and then are bullied because they “allowed it to happen.”

Not everyone can be a pretty white girl.  But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fight for them just as hard.
