Wow, why the hell would anyone make this up? To make bronies look bad? No, they already do a fantastic job at making themselves look bad without the “help” of people who experience it firsthand. And then to actively call people out and tell them to harass someone? What a sad fucking soul.

This is precisely why this behavior should never be swept under the rug, in any fandom. The loudest voices should NEVER be the ones like these. Not all of the fanbase is like this, so speak up and make certain that is made known by example, not by ridiculous veiled threats like this.
It’s very easy to dismiss it and say it’ll get better, just don’t cause “drama”. Hush, they’ll hear you. And this is what comes of that. It’s very easy to say let them say what they like, it’s your fault if you’re offended.

IT IS NOT THE ABUSED’S DUTY IN LIFE TO TAKE ANYONE’S SHIT. IT IS NOT THE ABUSED’S JOB IN LIFE TO CONTROL THEMSELVES WHEN SOMEONE ELSE HAS NO CONTROL.
In our short time in Tumblrpon, Sunshine and I have had our inbox graced with:
- threats of harm
- death wishes
- slurs
- rape “jokes”
And we have both been called choice names for not being okay with it. We are not doormats. We are fellow humans, and if you cannot treat us as such, tell me again why you should be afforded the slightest bit of respect or consideration.

Silence is not the answer, not ever the answer. Learn to control your own self before you rage at someone to learn to control their offense at your bullshit.
This is not just a brony issue, but people, this is in our fandom, and rather than say “but (insert fandom here) does it!”, we should be taking steps so we can say ours does not accept it and works productively against it, not just a vague hope next time will be better.
Boosting what SHOULD go without saying but what, unfortunately, apparently needs to be said for people that really just can’t get it through their thick fucking skulls.
